Hard Drive Distortion (ToneX Captures)

64 Advanced Captures

$4.00

The Hard Drive Distortion pedal, JHS' first-ever all-original distortion, catapults players into a sandbox world of late-'90s post-grunge and early-'00s tones. Flexible 3-band EQ and a Mid Freq selector give the Hard Drive chameleon-like powers capable of achieving virtually any ‘90s-style distortion tone.

This is my favorite distortion pedal i've played to date - it can do all kinds of amazing sounds. I got the EQ settings from the JHS episode on this (which you may need to watch to figure out what some of the settings are - especially the Semi Charmed Korn as that would make zero sense without seeing the video - LOL). I tried to get the exact settings he used with additional gain stages at the EQ's.

I have the following EQ settings captured: 1 is minimum, 5 is middle, 9 is dimed):

B - Bass, MF - Mid Frequency, M - Mids, T - Treble

FEQ - Flat EQ - everything at 5

BB - Bass Boost: B6, MF 4, M5, T5

HMB - High Mid Boost: B5, MF7, M6, T6

HMC - High Mid Cut: B5, MF7, M4, T6

LMB - Low Mid Boost: B5, MF3, M6, T6

LMC - Low Mid Cut: B5, MF3, M4, T6

DS1 EQ - B4.5, MF8, M6, T6

MSM - Shred Master Tone - B3, MF5, M4, T5.5

FRD - Friedman EQ: B4, MF4, M4, T6

RT - Rat EQ Settings: B4,. MidF 6, M6, T6

SCK - Semi Charmed Korn EQ: B4, MF5, M6, T6:

MSTR - Master of Puppets EQ: B4, MF 4, M3, T8

W900 - Weezer JCM900 EQ: B4, MF4, M5, T6

Rage - Rage Against the Machine EQ:  B5, MF 6, M4, T6
