This Beetronics pedal blends OD with Fuzz!
The two controls blend the Royal Jelly’s smooth overdrive and pummeling fuzz; since they’re independent, they essentially act as two tonal presets of your favorite OD/Fuzz formula. Once you’ve found your ideal dirt tones, the Royal Jelly’s powerful Hi/Lo EQ knobs offer plenty of sonic sculpting power, boasting a 10dB boost/cut for their respective frequencies. What’s more, the Buzz footswitch injects your tone with treble bite that brings to mind the wildest fuzzboxes of the past. The honey knob controls the gain on the OD circuit (so when it's all Fuzz, it does not do anything).
I tried to get some good combinations of the OD/Fuzz and an array of tone settings (there were too many possibilities with this pedal, so I did my best to get a good mix of settings.
When OD is 4, that means it is all OD without Fuzz added...and F4 means all fuzz and without OD.
F1 is the least amount of Fuzz, with mostly OD (so as the number increases, so does the amount of Fuzz.
FOD is 50% Fuzz, 50% OD
There are 2 different types of EQ settings - Hi and Lo (which went from -10 to 10). I labeled the positive and negative values and tried to get a good mix of EQ settings (although I definitely stuck around with my favorite values for both).
The Buzz is the high end bite added to the fuzz, in the naming is used the * to indicate when the buzz is enabled.
An ex of the naming convention is the following:
F2 H3L0* - Fuzz 2 (so there is more OD than Fuzz), Hi +3 and Lo at 0 (so in the middle), buzz enabled
